Service Description

Mindfulness is simply paying attention, in the present moment, without judgment. None of us will ever do it perfectly, which is why it’s a wonderful practice for a lifetime! The more we train our mind, heart, and body to return to a place of awareness, the more we are able to make healthy choices in our daily life. In this gentle introduction class, you’ll learn how mindfulness meditation can support your mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. We’ll cover the factors that will help you to develop a regular meditation practice, including posture, breathing techniques, and how to deal with active minds. Each class will include 20 minutes of guided meditation as well as time to check in and ask questions. NOTE: Because it’s important to have strong and stable container for meditating together, we request that you make every effort to come on time. There will be no late admissions to this class. Please plan to arrive at the studio by 10:10 am, five minutes before class starts. This will give you time to settle in so we are ready to begin on time. At 10:15, the doors will be closed and no one else will be admitted. If you are not able to arrive by 10:15, we ask that you plan on coming to class on another Saturday.
