Donor Advised Fund

You can make a taxwise gift by donating to Bridge to Health NM through a donor advised fund (DAF). They are available through financial institutions including TIAA Charitable, Fidelity, Vanguard, Charles Schwab, or community foundations such as the Santa Fe Community Foundation.

IRA Required Minimum Distribution

If you are 70 ½ you can donate today by making a qualified charitable deduction from your IRA up to $105,000.  At 73 years & older, you must annually withdraw a set amount from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) each year. This withdrawal can significantly increase your income taxes. Instead, you can use this distribution to make a tax-free gift directly from your IRA to Bridge to Health NM and support our efforts to improve health and welfare in Northern New Mexico.

Appreciated Securities

When you transfer appreciated securities or other retirement plan assets directly to our investment account.

  • You can defer and/or avoid capital gains tax.

  • You may be entitled to a charitable deduction for all or a portion of the total fair market value. Check with your tax advisor.

  •  Your community receives the benefit!

I use my Required Minimum Distribution to support Bridge to Health NM and their work to make exercise, healthy eating, stress management, childcare during exercise classes for caregivers, and many other services available to everyone in the community.

What Does Your Donation Support?

Bridge to Health NM empowers everyone to move, learn, laugh and grow in order to create a powerful culture of health by providing equitable access to wellness activities in a supportive community of diverse individuals.

Join us in improving the quality of life in our community by supporting our work in addressing the social determinants of health.

A Focus on Heart Health

We are especially focused on preventing heart disease. Research has shown that heart disease is the leading cause of death in New Mexico. This year we are improving client heart health through preventative programming, an extensive array of classes, and community partnerships, with a focus on reducing the negative impacts of heart disease in our area.
